Introducing Xbox Game Pass & Xbox Games Recommendations

Today, I'm going to talk about Game Pass and give you some of my favourite Xbox games.

You've got an Xbox? Time to play games 😋

There are two ways to play games on Xbox.


First, by purchasing game titles directly.
Second, by purchasing a Game Pass.


For those of you who choose the first option, here's a note,
If you have an Xbox Series X, you can plug in the game title directly, but if you have an Xbox Series S, you can only purchase the game title digitally.


There are several different types of Game Passes, but the one I'm going to focus on is the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is probably the most useful.

Xbox Game Pass?

 

Xbox Game Pass is a game subscription service released by Microsoft's Xbox Game Studio.

As a subscription service, you pay a set fee, but for a reasonable price, you get unlimited access to hundreds of high-quality games from the Game Pass catalogue!



You can play them whenever you want, on whatever device you want, and with whomever you want 👍.You can play right from day one, and there's no limit to the number of games you can play.

It's the best thing for someone like me...



Like I said, there are a ton of games to choose from, and the fact that they're from Xbox Game Studios, EA, Riot Games, and more!

 

One of the things that initially got me interested in Game Pass was the ability to link it to my Riot Games account.

By linking your Riot account to your Xbox profile, 

League of Legends (PC)
League of Legends: Wild Rift (Mobile)
Legends of Runeterra (PC & Mobile)
Teamfight Tactics (PC & Mobile)
VALORANT (PC)

You can benefit from these games.

Game Pass Ultimate?

If you're interested in Game Pass, you've probably noticed that there's Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.

There are three types of Game Pass: Ultimate, PC, and Console.

Ultimate is the most expensive at $16.99/month, and Game Pass for those with only one console or PC is around $10 per month.

However, if you're a console and PC gamer like me, you might be better off with Ultimate,


Here are the main differences between Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate;

 

- Play games on PC, consoles, and the cloud

- Exclusive member discounts and offers

- Includes services from Xbox Live Gold

- Includes EA Play

What is Xbox Live Gold?

It's a subscription that includes multiplayer gaming, two free games every month, access to the Gamers Network, and discounts on games.

You can also sign up for Gold separately, but if you sign up for Game Pass Ultimate, you'll get all the benefits of Xbox Live Gold.



+ EA Play will provide access to Electronic Arts' (EA) popular franchises, as well as collections of titles, exclusive in-game rewards, and early access to games, as well as members-only content.

Xbox Games Recommendations

So, if you've purchased Game Pass, you're ready to play!

There are so many different games to choose from that the list is practically endless. 

 

Here are a few of my favourites!

 

Hogwarts Legacy(호그와트 레거시)

 

I absolutely had to keep my first recommendation because it's currently on sale... ;)

Shout out to who were waiting for a discount shout!

All Hogwarts students, turn on the game right now~~!


**However, you can't play Hogwarts Legacy for free on Xbox with Game Pass. You'll need to purchase it through the Microsoft Store.

 

 

 

Ori Series

 

Do you like platformers or indie games? 

This is the perfect game for you 🥳 The Ori series!  

The game I've been playing is Ori and the Bilnd Forest, from the series. 

The graphics are great, and I was drawn to the mystical atmosphere and cute characters, 

As you play the game, it goes beyond dreamy and mysterious to dark and scary. It's all the more charming for that! 

Let's get addicted to Ori's smooth jumps =33

The Blind Forest is the predecessor, and the sequel is Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The sequel is supposed to have higher specs, so I'm already looking forward to it.

 

 

It Takes Two

If you love multiplayer games, It Takes Two is a game you can't miss.

I mentioned EA earlier- this game is also from EA, it's also available on EA Play (and Game Pass Ultimate).

It's also a Game of the Year (GOTY) 2021 winner!

The reason I recommend this game in particular is that if you buy the Friend Pass, you can play with friends who haven't bought the game. This means that even if only one of you buys it, you can play together! 

It supports both local and online two-player play, so no matter where your friend or significant other is, you can play together. 

I've been playing with a friend, and the characters are cute and the story is quite entertaining.

There are still many more games I haven't played, and I've been working my way through the games I've always wanted to try.

I got the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and played a bunch of games on Xbox for the first time, but the charm of the console... I'm stuck.
I just can't get out of it 😂
